Continuing the series of International Symposia on Spin Waves organized since the 1960s by Ioffe Institute in St. Petersburg. In 2027 the Symposium will be held in Saratov.
About the Symposium
The International Symposium on Spin Waves is a long-standing forum dedicated to fundamental and applied research on spin waves, spin dynamics, and related phenomena in magnetic materials and nanostructures. Spin Waves 2027 will bring together senior researchers, early-career scientists, and students working in classical and quantum aspects of spin-wave physics — from elementary excitations in bulk magnets to chiral textures, topological phenomena, magnonic devices, and machine-learning methods in magnetism. The scientific programme will combine invited plenary and topical lectures, parallel oral sessions, and poster presentations, providing extensive opportunities for informal discussion and new collaboration.

Spin Waves 2027 is organized by the Organizing, Local, and Program Committees drawn from Saratov State University, IRE RAS Saratov Branch, Ioffe Institute, P.L. Kapitza Institute, and leading Russian and international research centres.

Previous Symposia
The Spin Waves series was inaugurated at Ioffe Institute in the 1960s and has been held regularly since 2002. The most recent edition, Spin Waves 2024, also took place in Saratov.
